Attorney Frederic J. Siegel, President-Elect of the USA Chapter, recently attended the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL) European Chapter Meeting in Barcelona, Spain, where family law attorneys from around the world gathered to discuss emerging legal issues and developments impacting international family law.
While at the conference, Mr. Siegel participated in the program, “Dealing with Modern & Unusual Assets: Crypto-Asset Tracing, Carried Interest, Royalties and Intellectual Property,” which explored the growing challenges associated with identifying, valuing, and litigating complex and nontraditional assets in family law matters.
In addition to this program, the conference featured sessions on coercion and controlling behavior, as well as the evolving role of artificial intelligence in the legal profession.
